The United States Government does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor. The same laws that prohibit discrimination on the preceding bases, also prohibit retaliation against employees for filing a complaint of discrimination, participating in discrimination processes or proceedings, or otherwise opposing discrimination. Further, the United States Government protects employees against reprisal or retaliation for lawful disclosure of information which employees reasonably believe evidences a violation of law, rule, or regulation; gross mismanagement; fraud; gross waste of funds, abuse of authority, or a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety (commonly called whistleblower protection).
Reasonable Accommodation Policy: Federal agencies must provide reasonable accommodation to applicants with disabilities where appropriate. Applicants requiring reasonable accommodation for any part of the application and hiring process should contact the hiring agency directly.
